Agenda Item: High School

Present: Margaret Case (Chairman), Leo Hart (Vice Chairman), Dave Unger, J. Gross, Alan Shoemaker, Stacey Sofronas (Coordinator)

Excused: Mary Griffin, Greg Capiello, Dan Griffiths, Roger Hohenberger

Guests: Rich Manley (Windham High School Principal), Karen Sayward (Dean of Arts/Humanities)

Meeting called to order at 7:05pm

Margaret opened the discussion regarding the new Windham High School television production studio. The board asked Rich Manley what WCTV’s role would be if any with the new television production studio. The board expressed interest in using the auditorium in the High School for town events, such as the School and Town Deliberative Sessions and public events. Rich Manley agreed that the auditorium would be a great facility for that purpose.

The board agreed that they would work with vendors on supplying the right equipment to cover and broadcast events from the auditorium and an equipment plan for the school studio. It would be presented at a future meeting in May.

There was discussion on who would run the Video Production program at the school. WCTV offered to help in that process if needed.
